Women’s Style: Pretty in Pink

Hello 🐷🌸💖

Hope you are having an awesome week 🙂

As August is my birth month, I decided to base my first women’s style post for the month on my favorite color PINK 🌷Yes, it is a kind of a birthday treat to myself…lol 😂

The color pink represents fun, romance, feminity….and I really do believe, it makes everything look prettier. Pink is a color that flatters most and we can all find a shade to suit our skin tone and to blend in perfectly with other items in our wardrobe.

A lot of people, however, are wary of pink. It can be tricky to pull off for the fear of an outfit looking too young, too bright, too girly, or simply too pink. So if you’re having trouble picturing how to rock this sweet summer color, here are six outfits to take inspiration from

Outfit 1 – Salmon blazer, crisp white shirt, jeans, burgundy loafers, leopard clutch

Style Tip: Pink outerwear brightens up a neutral palette. A pale shade does not call too much attention and works great if you are wary of all-over pink.

Outfit 2 – White pom top, magenta tie waist cropped pants, bright yellow accessories

Style Tip: Try colorblocking by breaking up large swaths of bright pink shades with whites or other bright colors.

Outfit 3 – Printed dress with pink flamingos, bright pink belt, neutral accessories

Style Tip: Pick a quirky graphic patterned dress for a fun and relaxed vibe. This look can be made more casual by wearing the dress with flats.

Outfit 4 – Striped A-line dress, fuchsia blazer, floral kicks

Style Tip: If you want to opt for bolder hues in the pink spectrum, mix it with a simple, unfussy piece. Toning down a vibrant pink piece with black or navy always works well. Stripes are great to pair with a plain, bright colored item.

Outfit 5: Pleated floral skirt, striped top, nude pumps

Style Tip: Mix volumes, shades, and prints of pink. One secret to easily mixing pinks is to choose one that’s more shocking and pairing it with one that’s more subdued. Your pinks don’t have to match.

Outfit 6 – Bubblegum pink gingham dress, white heels, cane tote

Style Tip: Gingham print is back in full force this season and a mid-length dress cut in a contemporary boxy silhouette is a great way to wear this trend.

Whether it’s blush, rose, or rouge, no other color makes me as happy as pink does. However, if you’re still not convinced, then wear pink as a subtle accent in the form of accessories – a bag, a belt, a scarf or even shoes. Have fun😃💕

Do you like pink? Do you wear it often? If not, what is your favorite color?

I don’t like pink that much, but I think it’s because I have trouble finding a pink that flatters my skin tone instead of washing me out. I like rose pink. I do however have pink trousers and shorts, and am in love with that flamingo dress.
