With fall just around the corner (Isn’t this year just flying by?😧), its the perfect time for a post on one of my favorite fall fashion staples – the plaid shirt. This versatile item has a comfortable and cozy feel making it just perfect for colder weather 🍂🍁

There are so many ways to wear it and instantly score an effortless cool-girl appeal – unbuttoned over a tee, knotted over a dress, tucked into a pencil skirt, untucked and paired with leggings, or just tied around the waist.

Here are six ways to wear plaid shirt outfits –

1. Wear half-tucked with jeans

Keep it simple. Toss on a bright, plaid button-down to add some color, pattern and excitement to your outfit (Make it look like you actually tried this morning 😉). Half tuck the shirt for shape.

2. Wear tied around the waist

Tie a bright plaid shirt around your waist to take your shorts and t-shirt look to the next level. Or make your favorite slip dress a bit more casual and edgy by tying a flannel shirt around your waist.

3. Wear open over a tee

Throw on a plaid shirt over leggings and a tee for the perfect “lazy day” outfit. Add another layer with a leather jacket for colder days.

4. Wear under a sweater or cardigan

Let a plaid shirt peek through a sweater or cardigan. Allow the collar and sleeves to pop out for a preppy look. Dress up with heels or down with flats.

5. Wear with a jacket or vest

Pair a chic faux fur vest or a neutral puffer jacket with a plaid shirt – a sleeveless vest/ jacket will show more of the shirt sleeves than an oversized coat would.

6. Wear tucked into a skirt

    Wonderful,. You almost carried a full episode of how to dress in a most adorable manner. But do you realise that it is your figure that is the under-scorer of the majestic look. Not everyone has that underlined advantage.

    I am trying to adapt it to a male, let’s see how much I can succeed. But where will I get the facial looks ?? Can I borrow them from you ?
